French Intelligence Says Iran Nuclear Infrastructure Severely Hit; Most Enriched Uranium Intact

France’s intelligence chief said an assessment by Paris indicates every key element of Iran’s nuclear programme was targeted and “severely damaged” in recent, unspecified incidents. He reported that only a small portion of Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium was actually destroyed, while the bulk of the material remains under the control of Iranian authorities. The official added that French services believe they know the locations of Iran’s remaining highly enriched uranium but cannot confirm their analysis until inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency return to the country. No timetable was given for the IAEA’s re-entry.
