The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported multiple aerial threats originating from Yemen and Lebanon during early August 2025. On August 3, the IDF successfully intercepted a drone launched from Yemen over southern Israel near Bnei Netzarim in the Gaza envelope, with no casualties reported. The following day, August 4, Israeli air defense systems intercepted a missile launched from Yemen targeting Israeli territory, triggering sirens in several Israeli regions. The public was advised to follow safety guidelines issued by the Home Front Command. Concurrently, escalating tensions in Lebanon involved Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks targeting various locations in southern and eastern Lebanon. Lebanese media reported strikes on a Lebanese army barracks in Wadi Fissan, Baalbek-Hermel governorate, and multiple Israeli drone bombings and air raids on towns including Khiam, Toulon, Ansar, Mahmoudiyah, and the apple region highlands. On August 7, an Israeli airstrike on the road to Al-Masna in the Bekaa Valley resulted in five deaths and ten injuries, according to Lebanese health authorities. Additional strikes on August 8 targeted vehicles in Ansariya and the Zahrani highway near Sidon, causing at least one death. Israeli drones also bombed areas in Kafr Kila, Rmeish, and Jibbin towns in southern Lebanon. The IDF confirmed the killing of Mohammed Washah, a leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, in an airstrike in eastern Lebanon's Bekaa region on August 8. These developments reflect ongoing hostilities involving cross-border attacks and retaliatory Israeli military operations in the region.
