The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Israeli Security Agency (ISA) have announced the elimination of Jihad Kamal Salem Najjar, a Hamas terrorist involved in the abduction of Israeli hostage Yarden Bibas during the October 7 attack. This operation is part of Israel's ongoing efforts to target individuals responsible for the massacre and kidnappings that occurred on that date. Yarden Bibas, who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Oz, acknowledged the development as a step toward closure. In a related operation, the IDF also eliminated the Hamas terrorist responsible for kidnapping Omer Shemtov. Meanwhile, the Rabin Medical Center reported that five female IDF surveillance soldiers, who were taken hostage by Hamas on October 7 and later released in January, have completed the intensive stage of their rehabilitation. Additionally, the Israeli government confirmed the return of an Israeli prisoner who had been held in Lebanon for a year. This release was achieved through negotiations with Lebanese authorities and the assistance of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
