An Israeli airstrike struck residential homes in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, early on July 6, 2025, resulting in the deaths of at least 12 people and causing injuries and missing persons. The targeted homes were sheltering displaced families from the Abu Shakyan and Sahweil clans. Among the casualties were children. The strike followed earlier attacks, including a drone strike on a tent sheltering displaced persons in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, which killed two and injured others. Over the past 28 hours, more than 84 people have been killed in Gaza amid ongoing siege and famine conditions. Recovery efforts at the site of the airstrike in Sheikh Radwan have retrieved five bodies, with several individuals still unaccounted for under the rubble.
