An Israeli military vehicle was filmed attempting to run over a Palestinian man during an overnight raid near the Balata refugee camp on the eastern edge of Nablus on 8 July. Footage shows the armored vehicle accelerating toward the youth as soldiers from another vehicle pursue him on foot, apparently seeking to arrest him. The man escaped without reported injury; the Israeli army has not publicly commented on the incident. The episode came amid a new wave of West Bank operations. In the early hours of 9 July, Israeli forces entered multiple communities—including Al-Tabqa village south of Hebron, Husan west of Bethlehem, Kifl Haris near Salfit, ar-Ram outside Jerusalem, Qalqilya city and the Balata camp—conducting house-to-house searches and detaining residents. The Palestinian news agency WAFA said at least 16 people were arrested, while the Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office put the figure at more than 30, noting that former detainees and children as young as nine were among those taken. Witnesses in Al-Tabqa reported that several men were handcuffed and marched through the streets before some were released after field interrogations. No Israeli casualties were reported during the operations.
