Between June and July 2025, Israeli occupation forces conducted multiple raids across various locations in the occupied West Bank, including villages and towns such as Attil, Bal’a, Jabal Al-Rahma, Tayasir, Qalqilya, Nablus, Hebron, Tubas, Salfit, Sa’ir, Beit Furik, Jalbun, Deir Abu Daif, Tell, Qafin, Al-Zababda, Balata al-Balad, Qabatiya, and the Old City of Nablus. These operations involved storming Palestinian homes and areas, with some reports of live ammunition being fired. On July 26-27, 2025, Israeli forces intercepted the Gaza-bound activist vessel Handala, which was carrying 21 civilian activists from multiple countries aiming to deliver humanitarian aid including food, medicine, baby formula, and diapers to Gaza. The interception occurred in international waters, and the vessel was brought to the Israeli port of Ashdod. Activists aboard the Handala were detained, and diplomatic and legal representatives had not yet been granted access to them. The crew warned of a hunger strike if detained. The interception followed claims that Israel’s justification for restricting aid to Gaza—that Hamas steals it—was challenged by a New York Times report released the same day. The incident marks the second flotilla intercepted by Israel attempting to break the naval blockade of Gaza.
