Israeli occupation forces have maintained a large-scale offensive in the Palestinian village of Al-Mughayyir, located northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, for the third consecutive day. The military operations have involved raids on over 30 homes, widespread property destruction, abductions of residents, and theft of cash, jewelry, and vehicles. During the incursions, Israeli soldiers fired sound bombs into houses and stormed the residence of the village mayor. A notable element of the campaign includes the uprooting and destruction of olive trees, with reports indicating that between 3,000 and 10,000 trees were destroyed. Israeli forces justified the tree removal as a security measure due to the trees’ proximity to a settler road. In response, indigenous Palestinians have begun replanting the olive trees. Additionally, Israeli settlers have been reported to use loudspeakers directed at the Al-Aqsa mosque to drown out the call to Maghrib prayer amid ongoing tensions and settler attacks in the West Bank.
