In another development, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov visited North Korea from July 11 to 13, meeting with leader Kim Jong-un in Wonsan. The two countries pledged cooperation to safeguard each other's territorial integrity, with Russia strongly opposing any attempts to undermine North Korea's national security and sovereignty. Lavrov conveyed Moscow's desire to strengthen the strategic partnership with Pyongyang. North Korean media reported that Russia acknowledged Pyongyang's support during the war in Ukraine. Additionally, South Korea stated that North Korea has supplied Russia with 12 million artillery shells.
