The United Arab Emirates has stepped up humanitarian deliveries to the Gaza Strip, sending 20 additional aid trucks carrying 540 tons of supplies through the side gate of the Rafah crossing and onward to the Kerem Abu Salem crossing on Sunday. According to Emirati and regional logistics officials, the latest shipment brings the UAE’s total over the past two weeks to 10 convoys comprising 214 trucks loaded with more than 4,565 tons of food, medicine and other relief items that have entered Gaza via Rafah. Hamas, which administers the enclave, said the incoming assistance remains far below needs, arguing Gaza requires more than 600 aid trucks every day to cover minimum humanitarian demand. The group reiterated its call for all crossings to open without restriction and dismissed recent airdrop operations as inadequate and hazardous.
Hamas: The Gaza Strip needs more than 600 aid trucks daily to meet the minimum needs of the population.
Hamas: The aid entering Gaza does not meet the needs, and airdrops are propagandistic, dangerous, and no substitute for opening the crossings.
