A projectile fired from Yemen toward Israel on 1 August triggered nationwide air-raid sirens, including in Jerusalem, the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, the Shfela region and parts of the West Bank, according to the Israel Defense Forces. The IDF said its air-defense systems intercepted the incoming threat and urged residents to follow Home Front Command instructions. No casualties or damage were immediately reported. Ben Gurion International Airport temporarily halted incoming flights as the alarms sounded, delaying several aircraft already in the air before normal operations gradually resumed.
