Major League Baseball on 30 June unveiled the rosters for the 2025 All-Star Futures Game, the annual showcase that spotlights the sport’s most highly regarded minor-league talent. This year’s 50-player field includes 31 members of MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects list, underscoring the depth of emerging talent slated to reach the majors in the next few seasons. Four shortstops ranked inside the overall Top 10 headline the class. The National League squad features San Diego’s 18-year-old Leo De Vries (No. 5) and Milwaukee infielder Jesús Made (No. 4), while the American League counters with Texas’ Sebastian Walcott (No. 6) and Detroit’s Kevin McGonigle (No. 9). Phillies right-hander Andrew Painter, Tigers outfielder Max Clark and Rockies slugger Charlie Condon are among other Top-25 names set to participate. Seattle and Detroit place a game-high three prospects apiece. The Mariners will send switch-pitcher Jurrangelo Cijntje, catcher Harry Ford and power-hitting outfielder Lazaro Montes, while the Tigers are represented by Clark, McGonigle and catcher/first-baseman Josue Briceño. In all, nine first-round selections from the 2024 amateur draft made the cut, signaling rapid advancement through their respective farm systems. Hall of Fame third-baseman Chipper Jones will manage the National League side, with former Braves All-Star Marquis Grissom guiding the American League contingent. The Futures Game opens All-Star Week on 12 July at Truist Park in Atlanta and will be broadcast on MLB Network and streamed on MLB.TV.
