Major League Baseball stages its 95th All-Star Game tonight at Truist Park in Atlanta, the first time the Midsummer Classic has returned to the city since plans for a 2021 edition were moved. First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern on FOX. National League skipper Dave Roberts will open with Pirates rookie Paul Skenes on the mound and a lineup topped by designated hitter Shohei Ohtani. Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuña Jr. bats second and starts in left field, while former Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman hits cleanup. The American League counters with Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal and a batting order anchored by New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge in the No. 3 spot. Atlanta rappers Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri will perform their anthem “Welcome to Atlanta” during player introductions, and Georgia’s Zac Brown Band will handle the U.S. national anthem; Canadian singer Lauren Spencer Smith will sing “O Canada.” The game is also notable for a record five Mexican players on the combined rosters, including Alejandro Kirk, Randy Arozarena, Andrés Muñoz, Jonathan Aranda and Isaac Paredes. Spanish-language coverage airs on FOX Deportes and FOX Sports México, while ESPN, Disney+ and MLB.TV offer streaming options in Mexico and internationally.
