Independent distributor Neon has released the first trailer for “Shelby Oaks,” the feature-length debut of film-critic-turned-director Chris Stuckmann. The footage, unveiled on 4 August, blends narrative drama with found-footage elements to chronicle a woman’s increasingly perilous search for her missing sister in an allegedly haunted town. Executive-produced by Mike Flanagan ("The Haunting of Hill House"), the film stars Camille Sullivan alongside Brendan Sexton III, Michael Beach and Keith David. “Shelby Oaks” premiered at last year’s Fantasia International Film Festival and is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical run on 3 October 2025.
