Director Robert Eggers is set to reunite with actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson for his upcoming horror film "Werwulf," a werewolf movie set in 13th century England. Taylor-Johnson will portray the titular werewolf, while Lily-Rose Depp, who previously co-starred with Taylor-Johnson in Eggers' film "Nosferatu," is in talks to join the cast as the werewolf's wife. The film will feature period-accurate dialogue and elements of witchcraft, with Eggers describing it as the darkest film he has written to date. "Werwulf" is scheduled for release on December 25, 2026. The screenplay was co-written by Eggers and Sjón.
