Eminem’s latest producing venture, the documentary “Stans,” will screen exclusively in cinemas for four days beginning Aug. 7 after a teaser trailer was released on 15 July. AMC Theatres Distribution will handle the U.S. rollout in more than 135 of its locations, while Trafalgar Releasing will launch the film in about 1,600 theaters across 50 territories on the same date. The picture will receive a week-long awards-qualifying run at AMC Empire 25 in New York and will not be available through AMC Stubs A-List or discount programs. A streaming release on Paramount+ is planned for later in the year. Directed by Emmy-winner Steven Leckart, “Stans” examines the complex relationship between Eminem and his most devoted followers through archival footage, stylized recreations and new interviews, including fresh commentary from the rapper himself. The film premiered at SXSW London in June and is produced by Eminem alongside Paul Rosenberg, Stuart Parr, Antoine Fuqua and others. An accompanying soundtrack, featuring previously unreleased material, is already available for pre-order.
