Usher has called off the Australian leg of his Past Present Future tour, abandoning six shows at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena and six more at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena that were slated for November and December. Promoter Live Nation confirmed the decision through ticketing partner Ticketek, which said customers will receive automatic refunds, adding that no explanation has been provided for the cancellation. Pop singer Ava Max has withdrawn her “Don’t Click Play” tour across North America, the United Kingdom and Europe just two weeks after unveiling the schedule. The run was due to open on 3 September in Los Angeles and include 15 shows in Britain and continental Europe starting with London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 25 October. In a statement, Max said she needs more time to bring the production up to her standards. Separately, rapper ASAP Rocky has pulled out of the Rock en Seine festival near Paris on 21 August and Belgium’s Pukkelpop on 16 August, with organisers citing “circumstances beyond our control.” Kid Cudi and Macklemore have been drafted as replacements for the two events, while Rocky’s appearance at Hungary’s Sziget Festival on 8 August remains on the schedule.
