The Ryukyu Islands in Japan experienced multiple tremors ranging from magnitude 4.7 to 5.4. New Zealand's South Island was struck by a magnitude 6.2 to 6.3 earthquake off its west coast on July 7. Other notable seismic activity included a magnitude 5.6 earthquake in Fiji on July 3, a magnitude 5.6 quake in Papua New Guinea on July 6, and a magnitude 5.4 earthquake in the Tonga Islands on July 6. On July 8, Guatemala experienced several earthquakes, with magnitudes reported between 5.0 and 5.7, including a 5.6 magnitude quake in Escuintla. These Guatemalan earthquakes were also felt in neighboring El Salvador. Additional seismic events occurred near the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, and the Central Mid-Atlantic Ridge during this period.
