Notably, a 2.2 magnitude quake occurred 60 km from Ferndale, California, and a 2.6 magnitude quake was recorded near Hill City, Kansas. Chile's Antofagasta region experienced moderate seismic activity, including a 4.9 magnitude earthquake 73 km from Taltal and a 4.1 magnitude quake 133 km from Calama. The Pacific region also saw notable activity, including a 5.3 magnitude earthquake southeast of the Loyalty Islands, a 4.9 magnitude quake near Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands, and a 4.2 magnitude event in the Kermadec Islands region.
