During the protest, a masked participant assaulted a videographer by grabbing their camera, prompting police to advise filing a report despite the suspect remaining unidentified on the scene. Protesters criticized the Canadian government's response, accusing it of complicity in what they described as genocide. The PYM and other groups recently reported data indicating that Israel continues to import Canadian military weapon parts and ammunition despite an arms embargo in place since January 2024.
