Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen said he was "initially not thrilled" when he learned on his 29th birthday that the club would headline this summer’s edition of HBO Max’s “Hard Knocks,” a designation that will bring television cameras into nearly every corner of training camp. Allen now sees the exposure as an opportunity for fans to gain an inside view of a roster that advanced to last season’s AFC Championship Game. During the same media availability on Wednesday, the two-time Pro Bowler revisited the six-year, $258 million extension he signed last year. Allen said he did not seek to surpass the league’s highest quarterback salaries because he wanted Buffalo to preserve salary-cap flexibility to retain key teammates. Allen credited sturdier offensive-line play and “smarter” decisions for a marked reduction in turnovers in 2024, a priority he said will continue as the Bills push for their first Super Bowl appearance since 1994. Looking ahead, Allen expressed excitement about the team’s new 60,000-seat Highmark Stadium, slated to open in 2026, and announced a marketing partnership that makes him New Era’s inaugural “Director of Billustration,” a tongue-in-cheek role with the Buffalo-based headwear company.
