Udrea was awaiting the verdict while hospitalized, and the initial ruling by the Ploiești Court had allowed her conditional release, though it was subject to appeal. Following the tribunal's decision on July 17, 2025, she left Târgșor Penitentiary and made public statements expressing that she feels rehabilitated and well.
