All Blacks score six tries to hammer under-strength France: https://t.co/fJxeUcY02w
Very strong first half from New Zealand, followed by a drop-off in the second. France looked a lot more like a team with less caps than Beauden Barrett this week. #NZLvFRA
Such a cool head from Beauden Barrett for that last try. Had the 3v2, just let the defence race out on to him and then put Jordan into the hole. Overlaps look simple, but so many teams mess them up. #NZLvFRA
New Zealand overpowered an inexperienced France side 43-17 in Wellington on Saturday, running in six tries to secure the three-match series with a game to spare. The All Blacks led 29-3 at half-time and were scarcely troubled thereafter, extending their home winning streak against France to 10 Tests. Scrum-half Cam Roigard opened the scoring from a line-out move before Ardie Savea, Codie Taylor and Tupou Vaa’i added tries in a dominant first half built on a decisive forward display. Will Jordan and Rieko Ioane crossed after the break. Savea captained the hosts in place of the injured Scott Barrett, while Beauden Barrett contributed an early penalty but was shown a yellow card for a deliberate knock-on. France, who made 10 changes to the side that narrowly lost the first Test 31-27 in Dunedin, mustered tries through full-back Leo Barre and debutant lock Joshua Brennan. Brennan also spent time in the sin-bin for a lifting tackle as the visitors struggled at the breakdown and line-out against a New Zealand pack that controlled territory and possession. The series concludes next Saturday in Hamilton, where Fabien Galthié’s squad will attempt to salvage a consolation victory after back-to-back defeats.
