Russian security agency FSB has detained multiple individuals accused of preparing terrorist attacks and sabotage operations linked to Ukrainian intelligence. On July 3, a 23-year-old Russian woman was arrested in Saint Petersburg while planting an improvised explosive device (IED) under the car of a defense industry employee. The FSB alleges she acted on orders from Ukrainian special services and was promised European Union citizenship and a large sum of money in return. Footage of her arrest was released, and she faces charges including terrorism, treason, and possession of explosives. Subsequently, on July 14, the FSB detained a 24-year-old Russian-Ukrainian woman in Crimea, recruited by Ukraine's SBU, who planned to bomb the vehicle of a Russian Ministry of Defense officer near Victory Day. On the same day, the FSB neutralized a Russian citizen in the Tyumen region, recruited by Ukrainian intelligence, who was preparing an attack against military personnel and resisted arrest with explosives and a modified live-ammunition pistol. On July 17, a 41-year-old Russian man was arrested in Voronezh for collecting data on air defense systems and planning sabotage at an energy infrastructure facility on behalf of Ukrainian military intelligence. He confessed to the plot, and explosives and communication equipment were seized. Additionally, the Ukrainian SBU arrested a 45-year-old woman in Kharkiv who was recruited by Russian intelligence to scout military positions after expressing pro-Russian views on Telegram. These arrests reflect ongoing intelligence and counterintelligence operations amid heightened tensions between Russia and Ukraine.
