Russia’s Defence Ministry said its air-defence and aviation units destroyed 300 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the past 24 hours and used warplanes, drones and missiles to hit what it described as Ukrainian storage sites for Sapsan ballistic missiles. The ministry also reported improved tactical positions near the settlement of Zolotyi Kolodiaz in the eastern Donetsk region, where heavy fighting continues. The governor of Russia’s Voronezh region said a Ukrainian drone struck the Liski railway station about 160 kilometres from the border, injuring a station employee and causing train delays. Ukrainian officials did not immediately comment, but a senior adviser to Kyiv’s government said the raid was the sixteenth strike on Russian rail infrastructure this month. Russian news agencies earlier quoted military sources as saying air defences downed 46 Ukrainian drones overnight across several regions. The claims from both sides could not be independently verified, but they underscore the growing scale and reach of drone operations as the war approaches its fourth year.
