Electronic Arts unveiled the first trailer for EA Sports FC 26 on 16 July, confirming that the next instalment of its flagship football franchise will reach the market on 26 September 2025. Players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition will receive up to seven days of early access starting 19 September and additional in-game rewards if orders are placed before 26 August. The title will be available on PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, the forthcoming Switch 2 and Amazon Luna, underscoring EA’s plan to keep the series on both current and previous-generation hardware. Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala front the standard edition, while retired Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimović adorns the Ultimate cover. EA says community feedback has driven a sweeping overhaul that includes two distinct gameplay presets—Authentic and Competitive—along with a new Manager Live career hub, player Archetypes for deeper customisation and reinforcement-learning goalkeepers. The game will feature more than 20,000 licensed footballers and over 750 clubs across 35-plus leagues, reinstating Mexico’s Liga MX among other competitions.
