Apple has signed a distribution agreement with digital‐radio platform TuneIn that will make six Apple Music radio stations available outside the Apple Music app for the first time, the Wall Street Journal reported. The partnership opens the stations—including flagship Apple Music 1 and genre channels such as Apple Music Hits and Apple Music Country—to TuneIn’s 75 million monthly active users. By extending its content to a third-party service, Apple is seeking to regain momentum in streaming audio after ceding ground to market leader Spotify.
