Google has broadened the capabilities of Gemini Live, its conversational AI assistant, allowing it to manage several first-party productivity apps in real time. After a staged rollout that began in June, users on both Android and iOS can now create or edit Calendar events, add reminders in Tasks, and save notes to Keep without leaving a chat with the assistant. The update also lets Gemini Live pull directions and location details from Maps within the same interface. The integration replaces much of the functionality previously handled by Google Assistant and is part of a wider transition that now includes Wear OS devices. Gemini has already been pushed to smartwatches, bringing the same natural-language processing found on phones to the wrist and unifying voice control across Google’s ecosystem.
