Satellite-communications company Globalstar Inc. has signed a launch services agreement with SpaceX to send nine replacement satellites into orbit on a Falcon 9 rocket in 2026. The spacecraft, manufactured by Canada’s MDA Ltd., will operate alongside Globalstar’s existing constellation, bolstering voice and data coverage for industrial and consumer customers. The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has cleared the new satellites for a renewed 15-year service life, extending the company’s spectrum rights and operational capacity. Globalstar said the deployment will help maintain network reliability as demand for satellite-based connectivity grows.
