SpaceX has conducted a series of static fire tests on Starship 37, the vehicle designated for Flight 10, at its Starbase facility. The initial single-engine static fire took place on July 31, 2025, using a modified launch mount on Pad 1, which was quickly constructed following the destruction of the previous pad during a test of Ship 36 a month earlier. Preparations involved lifting Starship 37 onto the static fire adapter and launch mount, with road and beach closures implemented around Boca Chica to facilitate the testing. Following the initial test, SpaceX completed a full-duration six-engine static fire on August 1, 2025, marking a key milestone ahead of the planned test flight. Elon Musk noted the launch is targeted for mid-August 2025, with final preparations and dismantling of Pad 1 modifications required before full stacking of Booster 16 and Starship 37. The tests were conducted live and involved propellant loading and venting operations. The company is advancing toward the tenth Starship test flight, with the launch expected approximately two weeks after the last static fire test. Additional activity at Starbase includes the return of Starship 38 to the megabay for cryogenic proof testing and Starlink satellite loader testing nearby.
