Rebeca Torró Soler has been appointed as the new secretary of Organization of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE), succeeding Santos Cerdán, who is currently in prison. The decision was made by party leader Pedro Sánchez, who chose Torró, a Valencian lawyer and the current secretary of State for Industry, to lead the party's organizational structure. Torró is known for her close ties to Valencian president Ximo Puig and has the backing of the PSOE's second largest federation. Her appointment is part of a broader reshuffle within the PSOE leadership following the departure of Cerdán. Additionally, it was reported that Torró previously allocated over 3.5 million euros to a company linked to the Santos Cerdán case. Alongside Torró's appointment, Montse Mínguez has been named the party's spokesperson, and other figures such as Paco Salazar, Anabel Mateo, and Borja Cabezón have been incorporated into the organizational team.
