The Spanish Government has approved the 2025 Public Employment Offer (Oferta de Empleo Público, OEP), comprising approximately 36,588 to 36,600 new positions. This represents a reduction of about 8.8% to 10% compared to the previous year's record offer, with roughly 3,500 fewer vacancies. The offer includes roles across the General State Administration, police forces, Guardia Civil, and the Armed Forces. Of the total positions, around 27,697 are designated for new hires, while approximately 8,891 are reserved for internal promotions. The majority of the vacancies, about 26,889, are within the General State Administration, with 20,324 for new entrants and 6,565 for internal promotion. Additionally, 10% of the positions are reserved for individuals with disabilities. The offer was approved by the Council of Ministers and published in the Official State Gazette (BOE), providing detailed job breakdowns. The government emphasizes that this is the fifth consecutive year of record new hire positions, aiming to improve public services. The offer has been launched without the endorsement of labor unions. In a related development, Adif announced its largest public employment offer with 1,048 vacancies to renew its workforce.
