Samsung has announced that the display of its Galaxy Z Fold 7 smartphone is rated to withstand 500,000 folds, more than double the durability rating of its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This foldable OLED panel developed by Samsung Display passed a durability test confirming its ability to endure over half a million folds, which translates to an estimated lifespan of around 10 years. The improved durability positions the Galaxy Z Fold 7 ahead of most other foldable smartphones currently available. Additionally, the Fold 7 features a fully functional Cover Screen, which may contribute to battery savings compared to using only the main screen.
