At Wimbledon 2025, Elise Mertens secured a straight-sets victory over 2023 semi-finalist Elina Svitolina, winning 6-1, 7-6(4) to advance to the fourth round. This marks Mertens' first appearance in the Wimbledon round of 16 since 2022 and her eighth win in the last nine matches.
