Texas authorities canceled an Amber Alert for 15-year-old Dahlia Creek after the teenager was located on Thursday afternoon, roughly a day after she was reported missing from Brownwood, about 140 miles southwest of Fort Worth. Creek was last seen around 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, 9 July, and police said she was believed to be in extreme danger. Investigators thought she had left the area with an unidentified white man in his thirties, described as having brown or red hair, and possibly travelling in a light-colored Mercury or Ford sedan. The Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed at about 4:50 p.m. on 10 July that Creek had been found, ending the statewide alert. Authorities did not immediately disclose her condition or whether anyone was taken into custody, saying the investigation remains open.
