The Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has requested the arrest of Muhittin Böcek, the mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and a member of the Republican People's Party (CHP), in connection with an ongoing bribery investigation. Böcek was taken into custody and subsequently detained. The investigation revealed that Böcek's son, Mustafa Gökhan Böcek, arranged for a 30 million Turkish lira duplex apartment to be purchased through businessman Yusuf Y. for his estranged wife, Zeynep Kerimoğlu, during their divorce proceedings.
