Amazon’s Prime Video has released the first images from “Vought Rising,” the period-set prequel to its hit superhero drama “The Boys.” The photos spotlight four costumed ‘Supes’—Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, Mason Dye’s Bombsight, Will Hochman’s Torpedo and Elizabeth Posey’s Private Angel—each clad in brightly coloured 1950s-style uniforms. Aya Cash is also slated to return as Stormfront, though her look was not included in the reveal. “Vought Rising” explores the early days of the omnipresent defence contractor Vought International, decades before the events of the flagship series. The project was green-lit in July 2024 and has now entered production. Paul Grellong serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside “The Boys” creator Eric Kripke and producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Neal H. Moritz. Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios are co-producing. A premiere date has yet to be set. The update arrives as production wraps on the fifth and final season of “The Boys,” while companion series “Gen V” returns for its second season on 17 September 2025.
