Apple has unveiled the first series from “Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan under his 2022 overall deal with the company, releasing a brief teaser and confirming the show’s title, “Pluribus.” The science-fiction drama will star Rhea Seehorn, reuniting the actor with Gilligan after their collaboration on “Better Call Saul.” The streamer said “Pluribus” will debut globally on Apple TV+ on 7 November 2025 and has already been renewed for a second season, reflecting Apple’s straight-to-series, two-season commitment. Industry reports put the production budget at more than $15 million per episode, though the episode count was not disclosed. Plot details remain scarce, but Apple describes the premise as centering on “the most miserable person on Earth” who must save humanity from happiness. The project extends Apple TV+’s growing science-fiction slate, which includes series such as “Murderbot,” “Foundation,” “Invasion” and an upcoming adaptation of William Gibson’s “Neuromancer.”
