Apple TV+ will launch Season 2 of its comedy series “Platonic” on Aug. 6, releasing the first two installments of a 10-episode run that is scheduled to conclude on Oct. 1. A newly released trailer reunites stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne as longtime friends Will and Sylvia, who confront fresh mid-life challenges involving work, weddings and evolving relationships. Core cast members Luke Macfarlane and Carla Gallo return, while Saturday Night Live alumni Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennett, along with actor Milo Manheim, join the season in guest roles. The series is co-created, written and directed by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco and is produced by Sony Pictures Television in association with Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures, underscoring Apple TV+’s continued investment in original, star-driven comedies.
