Children’s stop-motion series “The Tiny Chef Show” will continue production after a fan-driven crowdfunding effort raised nearly $100,000, the programme’s creators announced on 4 July. The campaign was launched in late June when producers warned that a funding shortfall threatened to end the series. Contributions topped $80,000 within days and ultimately approached the six-figure mark, providing enough money to restart filming in the miniature tree-stump kitchen that serves as the show’s set. Announcing the reprieve, the production team said it is “getting ready to turn the tiny cameras back on” and thanked supporters for “saving Tiny Chef.” The episode order and release schedule have not yet been disclosed, but the success underscores the growing influence of online fan communities in financing children’s programming.
