This decline marks the lowest approval ever recorded for the party, including among its own members, with only 63% of Democrats viewing the party positively and 52% expressing dissatisfaction with its leadership direction. The drop in favorability reflects growing discontent within the party and among independent voters. Additionally, a separate August 2025 survey by Technometrica (TIPP) found that 35% of Democrats and nearly 60% of Independents believe there is merit to claims that the Obama administration deliberately fabricated the Trump-Russia collusion narrative. Meanwhile, public perception of former President Donald Trump has also declined, with his honesty and trustworthiness ratings at new lows since the start of his second term.
