The illegal immigrant population in the United States has decreased by approximately 1.6 million under President Donald Trump's administration, according to the latest Census Bureau data and various reports. This decline follows a crackdown on immigration enforcement, with deportations reaching over 200,000 in 2025 alone. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reported more than 65,000 removals in the first 100 days of the year, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that the total number of deportations surpassed 207,000 by early June. Border encounters have also significantly dropped, from around 250,000 to approximately 141 per day. These figures contrast with the previous year under President Joe Biden, during which over 2.8 million migrants were reportedly added to the population. The Trump administration's immigration policies have thus resulted in faster removal of illegal immigrants compared to the additions under the Biden administration.

In his last year, Biden imported over 2.8 million migrants. Under Trump, border encounters are down from a quarter million to just 141 per day. And deportations are at 25,000 per month plus another 150,000 self-deporting. This is what I voted for. https://t.co/gNvYW4FSCZ
