Speaking at an event at the White House, Trump praised Bondi’s performance and added, “I’m looking at Pam because I hope something’s going to be done about it,” referring to potential probes of Clinton and Schiff. The president did not cite new evidence but suggested the two should face scrutiny for what he called the “Russia hoax.” Bondi, a former Florida attorney general who joined Trump’s Cabinet earlier this year, has not commented publicly on whether her department will act on the president’s request. Clinton and Schiff have repeatedly denied wrongdoing and have dismissed similar allegations in the past.
