Rescue teams in central Utah are searching Huntington State Park for a man reported to have drowned around 4 p.m. Sunday. The Emery County Sheriff’s Office said personnel from several agencies, including the Carbon County Dive Team, are using sonar equipment to locate the missing swimmer and have asked the public to stay away from the reservoir until the operation concludes. Separately, authorities in northwest Indiana say a father and son from the Chicago area died after being pulled from Lake Michigan near Dune Acres on Saturday. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources identified the victims as David Meneou, 65, of Joliet, and his son Jameson Meneou, 20, of Lockport. A bystander brought both men to shore, but they were later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Investigators believe the younger man began struggling in deep water and his father drowned while attempting a rescue. The incident remains under review.
