Body Recovered After Drowning at Utah's Huntington State Park

Rescue crews have recovered the body of a man who drowned at Huntington State Park in Emery County, Utah, on Sunday. The Emery County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report of a possible drowning at 4 p.m. on 6 July, prompting a multi-agency response that included deputies, Utah State Parks officers and the Carbon County Dive Team. Using sonar equipment, the teams located and retrieved the victim’s body from Huntington Reservoir at about 7 p.m. Authorities have not released the man’s name, and no additional details about the circumstances of the incident were immediately available. Officials asked the public to avoid the area during the search.
