The FBI has added Giovanni Vicente Mosquera Serrano, a senior leader of the Venezuelan transnational gang Tren de Aragua, to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. The U.S. Department of State is offering a reward of up to $3 million for information leading to his arrest or conviction. Mosquera Serrano, also known as "El Viejo," is wanted for providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization and involvement in international cocaine trafficking. The Trump administration has imposed financial sanctions on him and highlighted his role as head of Tren de Aragua’s operations in Colombia and the United States. Tren de Aragua has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. government. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced that federal authorities have arrested more than 2,700 alleged members of Tren de Aragua in the United States as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the gang. Bondi described Tren de Aragua as one of the most violent criminal organizations, comparable to MS-13 and the Sinaloa Cartel, and emphasized the priority of arresting and deporting its members. The Department of Justice has reported significant progress in its operations against the gang, including recent arrests of rival gang members. The FBI’s action marks the first time a Tren de Aragua member has been placed on the agency’s most wanted list.
Will Pam Bondi make a single arrest? 🤔 Odds: 0.1% History is made by the underdogs... https://t.co/zcBRnvmG4q
