The International Criminal Court (ICC) has urged Venezuela to make genuine efforts to address alleged human rights violations. The ICC's Deputy Prosecutor met with Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez in The Hague amid ongoing investigations related to Venezuela. Rodríguez reaffirmed before the ICC that no crimes under the Rome Statute have been committed by Venezuela and submitted a study highlighting the impact of unilateral coercive measures on the health and lives of the Venezuelan people. Meanwhile, the ICC has reiterated its commitment to advancing investigations to ensure justice for victims of alleged crimes against humanity in Venezuela. The Venezuelan government also reported the foiling of a terrorist attack planned for Plaza Venezuela in Caracas, which President Nicolás Maduro attributed to a nexus involving Colombian drug trafficking, Ecuadorian mafias, and criminal gangs. Additionally, three Venezuelans, including one linked to the Tren de Aragua criminal group, were arrested in Detroit. The Venezuelan opposition criticized a proposed binational economic zone with Colombia, citing sovereignty concerns. Regional political figures, including Colombian ex-minister Diego Molano and Bolivian President Luis Arce, have condemned Venezuela's government and U.S. actions, respectively, with Molano accusing Maduro of seeking to expand socialism through the Tren de Aragua. The Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners has called for protection of the Baduel sisters amid reports of harassment. Separately, a man was detained in Petare for assaulting his mother.
