Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello has reported the dismantling of multiple terrorist plots aimed at destabilizing the country, including plans to detonate explosives in Caracas and attacks targeting the northeastern city of Maturín and the oil industry. Authorities have seized over 1,500 kilograms of various high-powered explosives, detonators, and volatile materials from a warehouse in the state of Anzoátegui as part of ongoing investigations. Cabello accused opposition figure María Corina Machado of leading these operations and implicated Iván Simonovis in planning the Caracas attacks. He also denounced collaboration among narco-paramilitary groups, far-right extremist sectors, and criminal gangs. Venezuelan security forces remain deployed following these thwarted plans. Additionally, Cabello confirmed that Venezuelan military forces are actively deployed in the Caribbean Sea in response to recent U.S. military deployments in the region.
