Activision has outlined key details for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the next installment in its flagship shooter franchise developed by Treyarch and Raven Software and unveiled during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. The publisher confirmed a worldwide release on 14 November 2025, with preorders available now across Xbox, PlayStation and PC storefronts. Multiplayer testing will roll out in early October. Players who preorder or subscribe to Game Pass can join an early-access beta from 2 October, while an open beta for all platforms will run 5–8 October, according to listings on the Xbox Store and supporting promotional material. Black Ops 7 introduces a “Build Code” feature that embeds a unique alphanumeric tag into every Gunsmith screenshot, letting users share complete weapon configurations in-game or online. The code is generated per attachment combination and is identical for all players who create the same build, streamlining loadout sharing. At launch the game will offer 30 weapons—16 of them new to the series—alongside returning favorites such as the Peacekeeper and M8A1. Content includes a four-player co-op campaign, a replayable PvE Endgame mission, 6v6 and 20v20 multiplayer, traditional and survival Zombies modes, and Dead Ops Arcade 4. Activision said all weapons, cosmetics and double-XP tokens earned in 2024’s Black Ops 6 will migrate forward, though developers noted they are “paying attention” to community feedback on over-the-top skins. Packaging confirms an always-online requirement, and Treyarch has disclosed that Black Ops 7 was built in parallel with its predecessor.
