Electronic Arts has opened pre-loading for the Battlefield 6 multiplayer beta, allowing players on all platforms to download the client ahead of testing that begins later this week. Early access will run 7–8 Aug, starting at 1 a.m. Pacific Time, for users who obtained codes through Battlefield Labs or Twitch drops. The beta then becomes fully open from 9–10 Aug and resumes for a second public session from 14–17 Aug, giving players two long weekends to try the forthcoming shooter. The test covers PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and EA’s own launcher. Progress earned during the beta will not carry into the finished game, although EA says cosmetic rewards will transfer. Store listings on Steam indicate Battlefield 6 is slated for release on 10 Oct 2025, marking the franchise’s first mainline entry since 2021’s Battlefield 2042.
