Sony Interactive Entertainment said it will devote its next State of Play webcast to Ghost of Yōtei, the sequel to 2020’s Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch Productions. The 20-minute presentation will stream on July 10 at 2 p.m. Pacific on PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch channels and be led by the studio’s creative directors, Jason Connell and Nate Fox. Sony promised the broadcast will offer the most extensive look yet at gameplay, including a tour of new weapons, special modes and customization systems. It will also expand on the revenge-driven storyline of Atsu, a new heroine pursuing the outlaw gang known as the Yōtei Six in Hokkaido in 1603. Ghost of Yōtei is scheduled to launch exclusively on PlayStation 5 on Oct. 2, leaving less than 100 days between the showcase and release. The first Ghost of Tsushima sold more than 9 million copies and received a director’s cut and PC port, making the follow-up one of Sony’s most closely watched titles of 2025.
